Fossils
I could see a colour relationship between the rocks and the tiles in the space.
After reading British Fossils Mesozoic book by the Natural History Museum, 2012, I found different types of fossils that I find inspiring. The main type of fossil that really interested me is the Parkinsonia parkinsoni (plate 32, Toarcian to Bajocian ammonites). The spiral shape reflected the shape that I am working with in the County Hall in the car park. It got me thinking about incorporating fossils within the space so I decided to transform the space into a fossil.

The image I produced above was created on Photoshop to give a general idea for myself how I want the piece to look within the space. I found the outline of the fossil online and incorporated it into my own photograph of the space. This with be how the viewer views the piece from this angle rather than directly above. At this point I am still unsure whether the piece will have high detail within the fossil or whether I like the idea of the outline. This is something I need to experiment with.
