fine art project 3
This module builds on the level 6 students’ understanding of their studio practice within a contemporary fine art context developed in FAPR1102 and FAPR2102. The module focuses on the presentation and display of visual work, specifically within the context of group exhibitions with their peers. Students’ culture of communication and exhibition will be examined and developed through a focus on methods of curation and critically evaluated display.
The demands made on a contemporary fine artist include an obligation to collaborate with other practitioners and curators in group exhibitions and projects. This module offers students the facility to contextualise their understanding of fine art dissemination. Through a focus on aspects of curatorial practice, communication and partnership the module consolidates critical awareness and teamwork, and reinforces students’ visual literacy.
